I’ve heard people complain about the Las Vegas airport for transfers because of how obnoxious it is with all the slot machines. Earlier in my trip, I did transfer through LVS and found it a good airport to explore when you have time to kill and you don’t have to leave security.
Now the skinny on San Diego International. Basically, it sucks, especially when you have to transfer between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, because YOU HAVE TO LEAVE SECURITY AND GO THROUGH IT AGAIN. Fortunately I had enough time between flights, but still it’s a pain in the butt. Also, the food and bar areas spill into the gate areas and there is no areas to sit down and chill.
According to the airport’s website, they are doing some renovations and plan to make traveling between terminals easier, but until that happens, I’ll take Las Vegas International over San Diego!
