My first night in London and I am fortunate to see Hawkwind live with The Crazy World of Arthur Brown as the opening act. Hawkwind are an English rock band known as one of the earliest space rock groups. I have to admit that I know nothing about them. If the opener, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown is any indication of the evening, I believe I’m in for a treat. TCWAB had the one hit wonder Fire with lyrics that open with: “I am the God of hell fire and I bring you… FIRE!” But I digress.

Hawkwind opened with Levitation and I was blown away! The lights, lasers, and video displays were awesome! The sound was excellent! The vocal harmonies blended well their instruments. As a first timer to Hawkwind, I thought their performance was captivating and held my attention the whole show!

I was introduced to HAWKWIND when I was 15 from a friend’s friend that had a Quadrophonic sound system. I met and partied with NIC TURNER a couple of times!
