After the walking tour of The Hague, Manuel and I decide to go to Rotterdam, since it’s not too far by the tram line. Lisa who was in our tour group was heading back to Rotterdam and asked if we had seen the Market Hall. We all decided to go check it out.

After a long day, Manuel and I say goodbye to Lisa and take the FlixBus back to Amsterdam.
P.S. We found another Primark in Rotterdam and I broke down and bought a jacket!
P.S.S. Manuel went back to Rotterdam the next day before Lisa left back for Switzerland (I left for Portugal that morning) and they rode the Splash Bus. I have no idea what that is, but it involves the Rhein river somehow. 🤔

Everything looks so new there!
Hi Michele! Yes, everything is very new looking. Probably because of the Rotterdam Blitz during World War Two by the Germans who pretty much destroyed the city and it had to be rebuilt.
Nice breakfast spread
It was a great little breakfast place!
We have had a lot of great times in Europe! It’s great you are seeing it! A tour? Or are these your friends and travel companions? Stella was living in Rotterdam and Amsterdam! We have many great photos there. She lives a block from the marketplace and the yellow apartments/ hotel!!
Hey Marylin and John! Manuel (my friend I met last year in Amsterdam) and I did one of those free city tours and the other people from The Hauge post were part of that tour. Manuel stayed in the yellow, extremely angled hostel last time he was in Rotterdam. It was by chance we saw them on this trip. Very cool your friend Stella lives so close!
Hey! Stella is more than our friend. She and Angelica were both hosted by us on exchange. We regret you were not part of our lives at that time! You would have liked being their uncle! We are like a cross between parents and aunt/uncle to them. So they are really family!! Stella currently lives in Munich and she is an international business consultant with Boston consulting. Angelica lives south of Gothenburg with our son in law Patrick. They have a baby girl, Astrid. We are now grandparents.
Hi Marylin and John! Stella and Angelica sound like a big part of your life. It’s too bad I didn’t have an opportunity to meet them. Maybe some time in the future.
