Up at 3:30 am to catch a Bolt (Euro equivalent of Lyft or Uber) to the airport for my 6:30 am flight to Faro, Portugal. Transavia has a non-stop for €97.
I get through security and to my gate with plenty of time to spare. It’s getting close to boarding time and there is an announcement, in Dutch. All the sudden people start leaving the gate. After everybody had almost left, the same announcement comes on in English. There’s been a gate change.
I get to the new gate and we finally board. Then a new announcement. Supposedly they misplaced a woman in a wheelchair and they are waiting until someone can find her and get her on the plane.

We finally take off for the 3 hour flight to Faro. We left Amsterdam late, but fortunately I don’t have a connecting flight to catch. Faro, Portugal is my final destination today.

Decided that I am going to kick back and chill in a nice hotel after the Netherlands whirlwind.

The weather is amazing here for November! 73F/23C is the high and sunny! That jacket I bought last night – I don’t need.
Relaxing by the harbor having lunch while they are getting my room ready.
After I get to my room, I am taking a long nap!
There are a lot of restaurants here that offer vegan food (even the local McDonald’s has a vegetarian burger). Found a really good vegan burger here.
Ending my evening with Snakes on a Plane with Portuguese subtitles.

We haven’t been to Portugal! Take that nap and we will be glad to see your adventures there!!
Just posted the Porto, Portugal adventure!
