I have 12 hours to explore the city of Brotherly Love! Took the train from the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to the 30th street station and started my journey from there. The airport and the 30th street station did not have any lockers for luggage storage. Only option was to store my backpack with Amtrack for $20. Found an option through Bounce which I have never used before. The location was behind the cashier’s counter in a convenience store. It worked out great and only cost $7.55.
There are so many landmarks here that it is challenging to see them all in 12 hours. I walked to a few such as the Reading Terminal Market, the Liberty Bell, and the Old City Hall landmark where the first Supreme Court existed. I did not get to go to the “Rocky stairs” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art because of the presidential campaigning the night before. Tried one of those “hop-on hop-off” buses, which was worth it because it added more information about the city.
Never being in Philadelphia before, it was definitely worth spending time in the city instead of sitting in the airport for 12 hours. Now to catch my flight to Paris.
